Leana Barac
Leana Barac comes from a home where no one had previously pursued further education. That quickly became apparent when she started attending lectures. But she refused to be discouraged. On the contrary: Before long, she started work at Arbeiterkind.de and as a “Life Teacher”, encouraging other children from non-academic families to study. In so doing, she helped advance the cause of educational justice. Her studies and social engagement were made possible by the Germany Scholarship.
